German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that she is well during a press conference, after she was seen shaking for the third time in a month while she was standing next to visiting Finnish Prime Minister Antti Rinne, during a welcoming ceremony in Berlin on Wednesday.
«I am doing well. I already said recently that I am in a processing phase with the last military honours ceremony with the Ukrainian... Еще president Zelenskiy. Obviously this phase is not completed yet but there is progress and I will have to live with that for a while. However I feel very well and there is no need for concern,» explained Merkel, referring to the first time she was seen trembling, on June 18, during a welcoming ceremony attended for the Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelenskiy.
When a journalist inquired again about the state of her health, the German chancellor dismissed concerns again by saying that «it will be gone one day like it has appeared» and that she is «able-bodied.»
Merkel also touched on German Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen's candidacy for the European Commission presidency and stated that a woman being chosen for the first time would be something to be happy about.
After her shaking bout, Merkel was seen confusing the spot from which to salute the soldiers from, while she was walking alongside the Finnish prime minister.
Previous instances of Merkel shaking have been ascribed to dehydration and high temperatures by the chancellor and her office.
