Germany: Hambach forest evictions continue but blockade stands firm

Police evicted activists from the third largest treehouse settlement in Hambach forest on Friday. A small group of protesters was also present. For Samira, an environmental activist protesting the dismantlement of the camp, «to keep this forest is a step towards a climate of justice» and people will «use our bodies to block the machinery.» The occupation started around six years ago, when a... Еще small group of activists decided to give up electricity and running water and dwell in the forest to fight against the expansion of a nearby coal mine.
