Germany: Goettingen tower block quarantined after over 100 residents test positive for COVID

An entire tower block with around 700 inhabitants has been put under quarantine in Goettingen, on Thursday, after over 100 residents tested positive for the coronavirus. A medical team can be seen going inside the residential complex where police have cordoned off the access and could be seen guarding the area. A mobile testing facility has also been installed outside the building and all the residents have now been tested. Residents will not be allowed to leave the complex until next Thursday. With this outbreak in the city, the number of infected cases in Goettingen has risen up to around 45 infected per 100,000 inhabitants within the last seven days.
