Germany: Frankurt’s Kurds condemn Turkish military aggression in Afrin

The Kurdish community in Frankfurt took to the streets on Saturday to condemn Turkish military operations in Afrin. The protesters carried a range of banners and national symbols of Kurdistan, as they marched from Frankfurt’s main railway station to the European Central Bank. Activist Kardelen Seker had a rallying call for demonstrators: “we shout out: Afrin is everywhere, world resistance is... Еще everywhere.» On January 20, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the beginning of the military operation against the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in northern Syria. Turkey views the YPG as an extension of the banned militant group the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
