Flights were disrupted at Frankfurt airport on Monday following a drone sighting in the area, causing delays and cancellations.
According to reports a drone was spotted by a pilot in the southern area of the airport around 11:15 local time (10:15 AM GMT).

«I came from Bordeaux to Frankfurt and I think we were 20 minutes late because the airport was closed due to a drone. At least that's what we were told on the plane,» said one passenger.
Another passenger stated «we were about two hours late. We ended up in Dusseldorf, waited there for an hour and a half and have now come here from Dusseldorf. I should have arrived directly from London.»
The airport was reportedly reopened to flights after about two hours.
