Korean Film Director Kim Ki-duk was grilled by journalists over his conduct with an actress during a press conference for his new film Human, Space, Time and Human in Berlin on Saturday. He was forced to reply to questions at the Berlin International Film Festival about his conduct with an actress while making his 2013 film Moebius. The director stated that while he didn't agree with a court... Еще ruling — which compelled him to pay a fine in response to the incident — he acknowledged he «shouldered the responsibility.» However, when pressed on the issue by journalists, Kim called the court case «regrettable.» Citing the length of time between the incident and the ruling, he argued, «It was something that happened four years ago. I find it regrettable that this was turned into a court case.» In December, Seoul's Prosecution Office fined the film director KRW 5 million (EUR 3776/USD 4686), after an accusation was raised that he slapped an actress on the set of Moebius and forced her to participate in a violent sex scene that was not previously in the script. The identity of the actress has been withheld. On Monday, the unknown actress denounced the Berlinale’s organizers' «hypocrisy» for having invited director Kim Ki-duk, since the festival came out in favour of the #MeToo campaign.
