Germany: Common consensus in EU to reduce quarantine to 10 days after travel to high risk areas — Spahn

German Health Minster Jens Spahn announced on Friday that EU ministers are willing to reduce the COVID-19 quarantine time from 14 days to 10 days, following travel to high-risk areas. Speaking at a press conference in Berlin, Spahn said the states were even discussing the possibility of allowing travellers the possibility to quarantine just for five days, if they were able to present a negative coronavirus test. Spahn said prices are currently being negotiated with firms for when a vaccination is ready. «Clearly the goal, when there is a vaccination, should be equally and fairly accessible for all EU citizens,» Spahn added.
