Germany: Coach operators stage horn-honking demo to demand govt help in Berlin

Hundreds of coach operators from all over Germany descended on Berlin on Wednesday, demanding financial aid from the government after being severely affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Coaches could be seen driving past the German Parliament, the Federal Chancellery, and the German capital's iconic Brandenburg Gate as they honked their horns. German Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer was also recorded on site delivering a speech to the attendees, announcing a government aid package of €170 ($191) million. Monday's demonstration was called by the Federal Association of German Bus and Coach Enterprises (BDO) in cooperation with the International Bus Touristic Association (RDA) and the Quality Association for Bus Comfort (GBK).
