The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has opened its first 'Mi Store' in Germany in Dusseldorf on Thursday.
A long queue of tech enthusiasts lined up hours before the opening, with some waiting since the early hours of the morning.
«I woke up shortly after 5 am and my flatmate around 3 am,» said Abdulhamit, a customer.
«Some products are limited editions. And whoever comes first gets it first,» continued another customer Sandra.
Footage shows dozens of people queuing outside the store before the first group of the customers was allowed to enter while maintaining social distancing rules and wearing face masks.
Xiaomi is a Chinese electronics manufacturers that released its first smartphone in August 2011 and rapidly gained market share in China to become the country's largest smartphone company in 2014.
