German police stopped a wedding convoy on the A24 motorway near the small city of Kremmen in the state of Brandenburg on Sunday evening, after the party was reportedly spotted excessively speeding and racing.
The Chechen wedding caravan was taken out of traffic as they were driving from Hamburg to Berlin by a major police operation involving 77 officers and nine police dogs.
Police officers at the site said they received a call which reported the caravan's apparent dangerous driving and speeding on the motorway, prompting them to launch the operation.
All seven luxury cars, boasting a total reported value of 250,000 euros, and the driving licences of all drivers were confiscated pending an official investigation. In addition, investigations are reportedly underway due to the wedding violating coronavirus restrictions.
