Germany: Berlin wants to avoid 'disorderly Brexit' — British and German FMs in talks

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that Berlin does not want «a disorderly Brexit,» after meeting welcoming his newly appointed British counterpart Jeremy Hunt, in Berlin on Monday. «We want a deal. We know that everyone has to make mutual concessions to get this deal,» said Maas during a joint press conference following the talks with Hunt. The British foreign secretary underlined the... Еще necessity of «a real change in approach from the EU negotiators,» adding that there is now a «real risk of no deal by accident.» Hunt also noted that «many» in the EU believed that they just had «to wait long enough and Britain will blink.» He pointed out «that's not going to happen.» The current departure date for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union is 29 March 2019.
