A spokesperson for the German Foreign Ministry urged the UK to use its “window of opportunity” to negotiate an orderly exit from the European Union. Rainer Breul made the remarks at the weekly federal press conference in Berlin on Friday.
«For us it is clear that we have now created a common time frame with the UK to ensure an orderly exit,” he said. “And of course we wait for Britain to use... Еще this window of opportunity, and not face the same situation in October as we experienced several weeks ago,” he added.
Commenting on Friday's bilateral meeting in Helsinki between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his German counterpart Heiko Maas, Breul said it was simply a regular set of talks.
«I believe we don't know, we can't really say who asked for it first, but it's a completely normal bilateral discussion,» he affirmed.
