A German government spokesperson said Berlin regrets Tehran's decision to partially withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, during a press conference in the German capital on Wednesday.
«What I fundamentally want to say is that the Federal Government took note of the statement of the Iranian government with regret,» said Steffen Seibert. «Our interest is unchanged. That is, to maintain the nuclear... Еще agreement and that Iran completely complies with their duty to this agreement,» he stressed.
A German Foreign Ministry spokesperson meanwhile condemned the uptick in fighting in north-western Syria where government forces are carrying out an offensive against militants in the area. «The growing violence in north-west Syria and Idlib since the end of April is extremely concerning,» said Christofer Burger.
«We condemn the serious air attacks against humanitarian infrastructure, such as a part of a health facility supported by ourselves and the centres of the Syrian Civil Defence [White Helmets] and its allies that we see in the course of the current offensive,» he added.
He called on all sides to prevent further escalation, stressing that Russia and Turkish have a «special responsibility here.»
