Germany: Berlin blighted by fallen trees and debris after Storm Herwart hits city

Parts of Berlin showed damage on Sunday morning, after Storm Herwart hit the German capital the previous night. On the canal way in Schoeneberg, high winds destroyed scaffolding that was covering a building, which had strewn metal rods and plastic sheets out onto the path. In the early morning, a jogger was injured by the debris. Police closed off the road while firefighters and construction... Еще workers attempted to clear the rubble and secure the scaffolding. Meanwhile, in the southern district of Zehlendorf, a huge tree blocked a road, forcing traffic to be diverted.
