Germany saw a 19.6-percent increase in anti-Semitic crimes in 2018, with 89.1 percent of them «perpetrated by the far-right,» said German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer at a federal press conference (BPK) in Berlin on Tuesday. Seehofer stressed that crimes carried out by the far-right «make up around half of all crimes»; however, noting that «we should not lose sight of the left-wing,» as 1,340... Еще violent crimes were carried out by the left-wing, 815 of which targeted the police. The German interior minister also noted that while the number of politically motivated crimes decreased in 2018 by around 7.8 percent, «this is not an 'all-clear' signal» because the number of politically motivated crimes are still «at a very high level.» He also reported that the number of crimes carried out by refugees «has clearly decreased.»
