Dozens of supporters joined the final rally for the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party in Erfurt, on Saturday, on the eve of the German state elections in the state of Thuringia.
German Defence Minister and leader of the CDU Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer was present at the rally sided by Mike Mohring CDU's main candidate for Thuringia.
«I want to say this clearly, people voting for the AfD in... Еще Thuringia, are only damaging Thuringia. People voting for the AfD are just ensuring that people form the left are just keeping their office, and to those who want change in our county, I am asking them from my heart, to vote for CDU.» Mohring said during his speech.
Kramp-Karrenbauer addressed the crowd saying «If you want more school lessons, more teachers, more police, then there is just one election choice you can make and that is the vote for the CDU, for Mike Mohring because only that guarantees a strong government.»
The German state of Thuringia is due to vote on a regional government on Sunday, with the far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD) expected to secure a large number of votes in the state.
