Germany: Activists furious after AfD helps to oust Thuringia PM

Hundreds of activists held a march called 'Cologne against the right [wing]' on Wednesday. They took to the streets after Thomas Kemmerich from Free Democratic party (FDP) was elected the premier of the state Thuringia. The previous state government leader Bodo Ramelow was removed from his post after the FDP used votes from the far-right Alternative for Germany party (AfD) to give the position... Еще to its candidate. Police scuffled with protesters who marched to the FDP party headquarters. Kemmerich became the first regional leader in Germany to take office with the help of AfD which prompted Chancellor Angela Merkel's CDU party to call for fresh elections.
