Germany: «A car can still drive through» — Cologne sets up stone barriers in tourist areas

German police placed stone blocks around the Cologne Cathedral and the city's main train station, Wednesday, to protect against potential attacks. Police and local authorities agreed to set up the barriers around the busy tourist locations. The blocks are intended as a preventative measure to stop any attempted van or car attacks, such as those occurring in last week's Barcelona attack or last... Еще year's Nice attack. Local resident Maria remained sceptical about how effective the new measures would prove in the event of an attack. According to Maria, a small car could still fit through the barriers and lead to «the same consequences.»
