Germany: 150 unaccompanied minor migrants still to arrive from Greece — govt. spox.

The spokesperson for Interior Ministry, Steve Alter, announced that the 150 unaccompanied migrant children to be taken from Greece to Germany, are still yet to arrive, at the weekly press conference in Berlin on Friday. The unaccompanied minors have been evacuated following a devastating fire at the Moria camp, on Lesbos. Alter also said there have been several arrests by the Greek authorities. German government spokesperson Stefan Seibert said that the German government have «urgently asked and demanded [for] Russia to explain themselves regarding the incident and this demand is still standing.'' Spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry Maria Adebahr said Monday would mark the start of Germany weighing up whether to expand sanctions against Belarusian politicians, if «violence against the peaceful opposition doesn't stop.» «The consultations about how to proceed with sanctions against Belarus, which we support, will have to be discussed on Monday,» she said.
