At least three schools in Berlin were closed on Tuesday amid fears that a teacher had contracted the coronavirus on holiday.
Footage shows the Modersohn Primary School and local playgrounds being deserted. Several residents said they were «not concerned» about the virus, and said they were washing their hands.
The Modersohn Primary School remained closed following the suspension of lessons... Еще at the nearby Emanuel Lasker School after a teacher allegedly became ill following a skiing trip in northern Italy. At least 80 contact-persons have been identified, according to local reports. Another school in Mitte, the Metropolitan School due to infection fears.
According to the latest reports by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), at least 92,000 people have been infected by the COVID-19 so far and over 3,000 people have died. There are currently 288 cases confirmed in Germany.
