Georgia: Relatives mourn death of six miners in Tkibuli as day of mourning declared

Relatives mourned the death of six miners who were killed in Tkibuli on Thursday, after the roof of a coal mine Mindeli collapsed. According to Minister of Economy Dimitry Kumsishvili, the accident was caused by a pressure bump. Three others were injured and two of them remain in a critical condition, local media reported. The Georgian government decided to declare April 6 a day of mourning... Еще. Reportedly, all the state flags have been lowered in all administrative buildings on the mourning day. The mine is operated by Georgian company Sakhnakhshiri. Since 2011, ten miners have died at the mine in different accidents.
