Georgia: NATO members conduct defensive combat drills for Noble Partner 2017

NATO members carried out defensive combat operations in a live-fire exercise on the 11th day of the Noble Partner 2017 drills at the Vaziani Military Base, Wednesday. Georgia's Defence Minister Levan Izoria watched over the exercises. Deputy Exercise Director Colonel Dennis Wille said the exercises were important for demonstrating «interoperability» and «partnership» with Georgia, «as we stand... Еще by them in the security within their country.» Although Georgia is not a member of NATO, the country along with other NATO partners contributes to the NATO Response Force (NRF). The drills began on July 30th with eight NATO members and partners taking part, including the US, Armenia, Germany, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
