Georgia: 2 massive NATO vessels dock at port of Batumi

Two NATO vessels arrived and docked at the sea port of Batumi in a visit hosted by the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Bulgarian Embassy, Friday. The Romanian ROS Regele Ferdinand frigate and the Turkish TCG Edremit minehunter arrived in the morning as part of a delegation led by the Allied Maritime Command Deputy Commander, Vice Admiral Herve Blejean. Talking about the «scheduled... Еще visit», Papuna Davitaia, the Georgian Liaison Officer in the NATO Joint Naval Forces, said that its purpose was “to demonstrate NATO's support for Georgia and enhance mutual maritime coordination and cooperation between NATO and Georgia.” The ships will remain off the Georgian coast until Monday, November 6th, with another two vessels expected to arrive in the meantime.
