Game of DRONES! — Russian Post's first air delivery fails spectacularly

The first-ever attempt by the Russian Post to deliver mail using a drone resulted in a spectacular failure as shown by footage captured in the eastern Siberian city of Ulan-Ude on Monday. Shortly after the drone took off, it crashed into the wall of a residential building. Russian Post Chairman Nikolai Podguzov was in attendance of the launch. Explaining the failure, head of the Republic of... Еще Buryatia Alexei Tsydenov said that success was obstructed by a high number of Wi-Fi hotspots. «The drone flew automatically. The Wi-Fi's intervention has modified the flying task a bit,» he said. The drone was supposed to deliver the post to the village of Targbai, located some 35km (22 miles) away from Ulan-Ude. According to its producers, the seven-kilogram (15 lbs) drone is capable to fly at the speed of 60 kilometres per hour (37 mph) and cover the distance of 70km (45 miles). According to local authorities, the drone is worth 1.2 million roubles ($20,000 / € 17,000).
