Thousands of Yellow Vests protesters took to the streets of Paris on Sunday, in what has been called the 'March of the Wounded', following allegations of police brutality during the months-long demonstrations.
The Yellow Vests protesters, who turned out for a 29th consecutive week, were seen holding banners and flags, as injured people showcased the wounds they said they suffered at the hands of... Еще police.
«We really feel the big, big repression of the state, who want to break the movement of Yellow Vests with violence. There is this willingness to frighten» said Patrice, a protester who lost an eye as the result of a flash-ball (Lanceur de balle de defense; LBD).
Since the start of the marches on 17 November, 2,448 demonstrators and 1,797 police officers have been injured according to figures released by the Ministry of the Interior on May 13.
