Yellow Vest protester took to the streets of Paris on Saturday, continuing their campaign against planned pension reforms.
«Now all we want is that the government withdraw the pension reforms above all, and that Emanuel Macron can serenely organise his departure before all of France goes against him,» Bruno, a Yellow Vest protester said.
French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced on... Еще Wednesday, a two-year-extension of the working period necessary to be assigned a full pension, triggering the anger of workers and trade unions.
«We are supposedly in a country of human rights. What does Macron do for Human Rights? He massacres his people with batons, with his militia. This is not a police force what we have today, it is a militia,» Francois, another Yellow vest protester said.
Members of the Yellow Vest movement joined the protests led by unions that have been held across the country for over a week. The government is reportedly aiming to introduce a universal pension system, but trade unions say that this will result in millions of private sector workers having to work beyond the legal retirement age.
