France: 'We'll leave when Apple pays' — ATTAC occupies Apple store over tax evasion

Activists from the Association for the Taxation of Financial Transactions and Citizen's Action (ATTAC) occupied an Apple store, in Paris, Saturday, to demand that the company pays the fine of €13 billion ($15.4 billion) imposed by the EU Commission. During the protest action, the activists stormed the Apple store to play music and unfurl a banner reading «We'll leave when Apple pays.» The... In 2016, the multinational technology company Apple was ordered to repay €13 billion ($15.4 billion) back in taxes to the Republic of Ireland due to an «illegal» breach of EU state aid rules.
