Rose Lavelle, midfielder for the United States women's national football team, told journalists in Paris on Thursday, of her love for her bulldog Wilma, who she communicates with through an app while she's participating in the 2019 Women's World Cup in France.
Lavelle, who is known to FaceTime with Wilma when she is away from home, said she hasn't done that since she scored a goal on her World... Еще Cup debut. «I haven't, she sleeps a lot, I don't wanna disturb her sleeping, but I will,» she said.
The midfielder also admitted that whenever taking a stroll in France and she notices a dog, she exclaims «C'est un chien,» meaning «it's a dog» in French.
Lavelle's love for dogs led to fans creating a social media account for Wilma. The hashtag #RoseWithDogs was also officially released on the @ussoccer_wnt Twitter account.
Lavelle managed to score twice in her World Cup debut against Thailand, which saw her team win 13-0.
