France: USA legend looking to win another World Cup

USA women's football team veteran Carli Lloyd and her team mate Mallory Pugh held a news conference in Paris on Friday, as the reigning champions USA prepare to face Chile in their second group stage game on Sunday. 36-year-old Carli Lloyd who was key to winning the last World Cup as well as two Olympic gold medals in 2008 and 2012 admitted that she doesn't bring her loved ones to the... Еще tournaments she is taking part in. «In 2007 I had my parents and Brian there — we didn't win. In 2011 I had parents, cousins, Brian there — we did not win. 2008 we won — I had nobody there. 2012 we won — I had nobody there, 2015...we had nobody there. So I think I am keeping it the same in 2019,» said Lloyd. She also commented on the first game against Thailand and came to the defence of the Thai team's goalkeeper, saying «we are human and there is a human element to it. You got to feel for it: a goalkeeper letting in 13 goals, if you don't then I don't think you have much of a heart,» said Lloyd. 24 teams are taking part in the Women's World Cup in France which will end with a final game on July 7.
