France: Russian Orthodox Church in Paris hosts exhibition on ‘needle painting’

Russian Minister of Culture, Vladimir Medinski, partook in the inauguration of the 'La Peinture a l'aiguille' exhibition at the Orthodox Church of Paris, Friday. The church which is also a clerical centre in the heart of Paris is hosting an exhibition of Orthodox iconography artwork, which Tatiana Shumoya, Master Emeritus of the Arts of the Russian Federation, describes as «needle painting... Еще,» including many pieces of embroidery artwork. The Orthodox Church of Paris is a 4,800 square metre complex, opened in 2016, that includes a parish centre, offices, apartments and a French-Russian primary school as well as a cultural centre, bookshop, café and exhibition space.
