France: Putin arrives in Paris for ‘Normandy Four’ summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Paris on Monday, ahead of the “Normandy Four” high-level meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Russian leader can be seen exiting his aircraft and being greeted by an honour guard and officials. Normandy Four was created in July 2014 to secure a peaceful settlement... The leaders of Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany first discussed the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine during the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy. Since then, many telephone conversations and summits have taken place between the leaders of the four countries, and foreign ministers have also had contacts.
