France: Police patrol Paris streets as Bastille Day tensions die down

Another Bastille Day in Paris came to an end as police dispersed crowds who had descended on the streets of the French capital on Tuesday. Tensions died down on Wednesday as police patrolled Paris streets marked by festivities, tensions and vandalism. Bastille Day is a French national holiday celebrated each year on July 14. It marks the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, a turning point in the French Revolution.
