Mourners lay flowers at the entrance of the former Charlie Hebdo offices in memory of the 12 people who were murdered in the attack, while artists sang songs and showcased artwork in support of the satirical magazine. Twelve people, including a police officer, died in the attacks on the magazine's offices. The assault was carried out by two gunmen who were later killed by security forces outside of Paris. Commemorations are also being held for the victims of the Hypercacher kosher supermarket siege, which occurred just two days after the Charlie Hebdo attack. Four people were killed during the siege.
