France: MPs ordered to leave after pay gap protest

Delegates staged a demonstration against pay gap between French men and women, during a session at the country's National Assembly, in Paris on Tuesday. MPs were seen rising from their seats at 16:47 (15:47 GMT), to mark the moment when French women start working «for free» due to the wage inequalities. President of the French National Assembly Richard Ferrand then asked the delegates «to sit... Еще down or go out», which prompted some MPs, most from the Socialist Party (PS), to leave. According to the Eurostat statistics agency, French women earn 15.2 per cent less than men. Mandatory credit: ASSEMBLÉE NATIONALE
