France: Melenchon, Le Pen 'not welcome' at march for 85-yo anti-Semitic hate crime victim

Both the French far-left leader Jean-Luc Melenchon and French far-right leader Marine Le Pen were forced to leave a march honouring Mireille Knoll, an 85-year-old grandmother killed last week in what police believe was an anti-Semitic attack, in Paris on Wednesday. Scuffles and loud booing forced the leaders of France's political extremes to make quick exits. Despite Knoll's son had said that... Еще the march was 'open to everyone', Melenchon and Le Pen were asked not to attend the march by the CRIF (Conseil Representatif des Institution Juives de France), an umbrella group representing French Jews. CRIF director Francis Kalifat was quoted in an interview saying that anti-Semitism is over-represented on the extremes of French politics.
