The managers of the women's national football teams of Germany, USA, England and Scotland, gave their thoughts on the draw for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, shortly upon the conclusion of the ceremony in Paris on Saturday.
Germany's Martina Voss Tecklenburg said, «There is no hope, but only hard work in this case, and focusing on what we want to achieve. I already said before, our minimum aim... Еще is the qualification for the Olympic Games, and if we achieve that, we will achieve a lot in the tournament.»
The reigning champions — the United States of America — were placed in Group F, alongside Thailand, Chile and Sweden. Their headcoach, Jill, Ellis, spoke about the need to be confident heading into the tournament.
«Be confident. You have to be. You have to take that approach. We believe we have a very good team and the opportunity sits in front of us. Now it's executing that.»
Meanwhile, tournament hosts France were put in Group A, alongside the Republic of Korea, Norway and Nigeria.
The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup will take place from June 7 to July 7, 2019, across nine host cities: Paris, Reims, Valenciennes, Le Havre, Rennes, Grenoble, Montpellier, Nice, and Lyon.
