Tens of lawyers performed a Haka, a Maori ceremonial dance, at the Bobigny court in Paris on Wednesday to protest French President Emmanuel Macron's pension reform plans.
«The reason for the action didn't change, [which is] to obtain a points-based universal pension through reform. It's something inauspicious for the employees, but really catastrophic for the lawyers,» said Yves Tamet, a lawyer... Еще at Seine Saint Denis district.
«We're becoming more and more like a banana republic, with an isolated presidential monarch, who is opposed to country's majority, having only the police force to protect him,» added Raquel Garrido, the lawyer and spokesperson of 'La France insoumise'.
The protest is part of ongoing strikes against the government's proposed pension reform.
