Hundreds of people joined a rally in support of the French police in Paris on Saturday. The demonstration was organised by activists from the FFOC («Angry Women of the Police Forces») group denouncing what they call hatred towards officers.
«We have to reaffirm the values of our republic of which police forces are a pillar. We cannot accept that the police is grazed for individual facts. Enough is enough. Since the terrorist attack and mostly the yellow vests, the police are grazed like a racist and only violent institution and it is not fair,» said Zohra Bitan, the rally organiser.
The rally came in the wake of recent worldwide protests against police brutality and racial discrimination sparked by the killing of George Floyd in the US.
