France: Hundreds of Air France strikers demand 6% wage hike

Over two hundred Air France employees, including pilots, stewardesses and mechanics, gathered at Charles de Gaulle airport in the French capital of Paris on Wednesday to demand a wage hike. Protesters represented various workers' unions including the Union of Navigators of Civil Aviation (UNAC) and the Syndicate of Air Pilots of France (SPAF). Scores of Air France flights were delayed or cancelled as a result of previous similar strikes in the recent months, some reports estimate as many 30 percent have been affected.
