Hundreds of people marched in the northern French city of Rouen on Sunday, in honour of the 24-year old man who drowned in the Loire river in Nantes during a police action in June. Steve Canico's body was found last Monday, a month after his disappearance.
Demonstrators shouted slogans against French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner and police, calling them «murderers». Many carried... Еще photographs of the victim and white roses, which were later thrown in the Seine river after a one minute silence.
A number of protests were organised over the past week in different cities, with people demanding justice for Canico and an end to police brutality.
