France: Greenpeace activists break into Cruas Nuclear Power Station

Dozens of Greenpeace activists broke into the site of Cruas Nuclear Power Plant to protest against the power station's vulnerable security, early Tuesday morning, in Ardeche. Activists demanded that EDF (Electricite de France) improves safety regulations, denouncing the ease of access to the used storage pool. According to Greenpeace some 22 activists were involved. The protesters lit flares... Еще and used a projector on the side of building to spread their message. Most of the activists were later arrested. EDF assure that the activists remained outside the nuclear zone posing no threat to safety.
