France: Funfair operators cause lockdown on Paris streets over cancelled Christmas markets

French funfair operators blocked the ring road into Paris on Monday, as part of a protest over Paris city hall’s decision to ban the Christmas market at the Champs-Elysees. Traffic police were on site trying to ensure traffic flowed easily, as trucks lined the roads in a «go slow» operation. Protesters have threatened a blockade, slow operations and to hold a number of demonstrations... Еще expressing their anger over authorities' decision. Paris city council voted to get rid of the traditional Christmas market in July. They have decided to replace it with a «high-quality» festive event.
