Femen activists disrupted the launch of a retrospective event at Cinematheque Francaise honouring the work of film director and convicted child rapist, Roman Polanski, in Paris, on Monday. The retrospective event held by the French film organisation, which is part funded by the government, comes at a time when five new cases of sexual assault by the director have come to light this past year... Еще, with two in the past month alone. Polanski pleaded guilty to the rape of a thirteen-year-old-girl in California in 1979, before fleeing the USA, where he is still wanted. The Femen activists managed to break into the lobby as Polanski entered the auditorium for the screening of his latest film, before they were removed by security. «Cinematheque dares to insult all women by such an unnecessary, disgusting and ugly move as honouring Polanski once again,» said Femen leader Inna Shevchenko.
