France: Europeans won't pay for British decisions, says Commission

Michel Barnier, European Chief Negotiator for Brexit, and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said that there are serious divergences over the financial settlement between the European Union and the United Kingdom, adding that there was no sufficient progress to go on to the next phase of negotiations, in Strasbourg, Tuesday. Both Barnier and Juncker reiterated that the “taxpayers... Еще of 27 countries” would not “pay for the British decision.” Barnier added that “a general line about Ireland” served as a positive note in the negotiations but warned of “serious divergences” that still exist.
