Finland: Swedish SVT journalist accuses Norwegian federation of running sports doping programme

Swedish public TV broadcaster SVT has produced a documentary claiming that Norwegian athletes were involved in an organised doping system in the country, covering the years 2001-2010, according to reports. In an interview from Helsinki on Wednesday, SVT journalist Hasse Svens explained that investigations point towards alleged organised doping systems run by a number of national ski federations... Еще. «The problem is Sochi, because we saw it was state doping in Sochi. In Norwegian, and in other countries, as Finland, it is more [a] federation, [a] ski federation doping programme,» he stated. Svens, the SVT correspondent for Finland and the Baltic States, said investigations had revealed that several international skiers had recorded «abnormal» blood samples. They are based on the blood tests of skiers from 2001-2010. Commenting on his attempts to discuss the issue with Norwegian authorities, he said: «as always, the Norwegian Ski Federation is being very angry about us, and they don't want to talk about this problem, and that's very sad that the Norwegian Federation is doing everything to tell that we are wrong and there are no problem, instead of doing work together with us.»
