Lithuanian Vytautas Kirkliauskas and his wife Neringa Kirkliauskiene retained their title as the Wife-Carrying World champions at a contest in Sonkajarvi, Finland on Saturday.
They beat 33 other couples finishing a 253-meters (831 ft) distance running and wading through waist-high water in just over a minute. «It was much more difficult than last year. Look at the result I thought I was going to... Еще jump through the obstacles, I couldn't make it», said Kirkliauskas.
Despite the tournament's official name, organisers allow unmarried couples to take part.
