Estonia: «Miracles» needed for progress by end of October — Juncker on Brexit

SOT, Journalist (English): «How are you feeling today on it, we have had a big week of talks?» SOT, Jean-Claude Juncker, EU Commission President (English): «At the end of this week I am saying that that there will be no sufficient progress from now until October unless... SOT, Journalist (English): «How long do you think the reform schedule will be stretched, throughout 2020, 2024?» SOT, Jean-Claude Juncker, EU Commission President (English): «I would think that 2024 would be a good time schedule, that’s exactly what I was saying at the European parliament.» SOT, Journalist (English): «A final thought today what do you want out of it president Junker.» SOT, Jean-Claude Juncker, EU Commission President (English): «I will tell you after the meeting.» EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said «miracles» are needed in order for Brexit to progress to the next stage by the end of October, at the end of the Tallinn Digital Summit, on Friday. He told the media that he was doubtful that «sufficient progress» will be achieved from now until the end of October «unless miracles would happen.» Juncker did however note that progress was being made. Before Brexit negotiations move on to trade negotiations, the EU requires sufficient progress be made in regards to a financial settlements, citizen's rights and the Irish border situation.
