El Salvador: San Salvador plant recycles plastic into frontline medical supplies

A recycling plant in San Salvador has started using the plastic they recover to produce important medical supplies that will be needed in the nation's fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The plant could be observed producing the medical supplies whilst workers discussed the process involved on Monday. «It [the mask] is 100 percent recycled out of the bottles that we use at home. This mask... Еще is very important, it helps us to take care of our vision, our mouth, our ears. It's easy to use, easy to put on,» explained plant manager William Antonio Ruano. «The idea was to provide greater protection to all the people who are at the forefront of the pandemic fight such as the armed forces, doctors, containment centres etc,» stated the plant's general manager Maria Fernanda Aguilar. El Salvador has recorded 587 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the outbreak began, with 13 related deaths.
