Twenty-four-year-old Parisian Charles Poujade is a parkour athlete who likes to hone his skills at some of the French capital's most iconic locations. The training discipline involves moving through obstacles in a complex urban environment, and is known in France as 'art du déplacement.'
A local of the area, Charles was seen jumping and climbing through famous Paris landmarks such as the... Еще Trocadero and Bercy park on Wednesday. He describes himself on his Instagram page as a 'Ninja Warrior Champion' and World Chase Tag champion.
«I’m an international champion of parkour in the speed category and I’ve been doing parkour for 12 years now. I discovered this activity through the movie “Yamakasi”; I enrolled in their school and learned from them,» he said.
«It's a very wide activity, an urban, natural movement. It's about moving around within an environment, it's a creation, a personal research, it really covers a lot of areas,» explained Charles.
A relatively new discipline, parkour has gained many followers in recent years. The 1st Parkour World Championships are scheduled to take place later this year in Hiroshima, Japan.
