Egypt: Thousands of Sufis celebrate Prophet Muhammad's birthday in Cairo

Thousands of Sufis took to the streets of Cairo on Saturday to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. The celebrations started with a march departing from Sheikh Saleh al-Jafari mosque and ended with a 'Bay'ah,' a ritual 'Pledge of allegiance' to Sufi sheikhs.
